OVERVIEW
87 Preston Road was built in the 1870’s and was originally used as an educational building before its closure in 2016. Yelo Architects were appointed to secured planning for 25 loft style apartments within this beautiful period building.
NuPlanet’s appointment involved the develop an energy strategy report to satisfy planning condition requirements, carry out building compliance services and prepare a detailed M&E services design.
The proposed M&E service design had to be sympathetic to the existing building, whist meeting current building & living standards. The scheme design included a full mechanical ventilation system, and a detailed high specification lighting design with home automation to meet modern living requirements.
